More Bandai Thundercats for 2012

Toynewsi has posted some new details for the 2012 Thundercats line. We will get a larger role-play Claw, Tygus and Panthro Nunchuks. 

It seems like 2012 will be a good year for Thundercats fans. 

Ask Matty Q&A for 11/15

Here we go with another round of Q&A with the Mattel team of Mattycollector!!

1- Update on the great Super Powers Penguin that was seen at NYCC- when will we see it?        Hmmm…there was a Super Powers Penguin in the case???  

2- Can you comment on what we might see at Toyfair as far as # of reveals, we already know up to June so it would seem there wont be much info to release. 

We still have many of the DC Universe Club Infinite Earths subscription figures to reveal (both the 6" figures and the oversized figures), in addition to some retailer-customized items, and the entire Fall line up of DC Universe All-Stars and Action League...in addition to some surprises!    

3- With the sellout of the GB Prop Trap, will we see more props in 2012?  

You'll have to wait and see!   

4- Will there be a Mattycollector event at Toyfair in February again? Any details for the fans on day/time?      

  Yes there will be an event but we do not have details yet. Stay tuned! 

5- Any chance of pics of Voltron Packaging Art for the Subscription figures?- when might we see it 

We will reveal it closer to the first on-sale date!   

Bandai Show Details on New Thundercats 6" Scale

Recently it was announced that Bandai was re-thinking their current Thundercats Lion-O and moving away from the 8" Classics in favor of a 6" Scale. A 8" Lion-O and Tygra were released, new info has been slow to trickle out. Today MTV posted some details and interview here.

First off the next 2 6" Figures from the new cartoon will be Tygra and Cheetara to round out the main-line Thundercats.

Next is the new 6" Classics Lion-O, with a new face and Mumm-Ra.

SDCC 2012 Tickets will Require Member ID

San Diego Comic-Con seems like a far time away, but if you have recently tried to get tickets over the past few years it has become difficult. 

This year, likely in response to much of last years ticket troubles- they are launching a new "Member ID" sign-up requirement. This will likely facilitate easier access to obtain tickets for the show. Be sure to follow the SDCC twitter and email feeds. Get more details here

1- Since the GB subscription is ended, any chance for newly tooled pieces to be offered at higher pricing, like the terror dogs?   It is something we are looking into. Stay tuned for more details!    
 
2- Is the pricing on the Snake Mountain stands the same as the Grayskull Stands?   There may be a slight price increase due to rising overall costs.    
 
3- How is the scent infused into Stinkor in the manufacturing process?      It is mixed into the plastic at a liquid stage just as it was done in the vintage line.      
 
4- Will some TOD Sorceress be held back for the end of the year or only if she fails to sell?      We will allocate a certain amount of product for online sales at the end of the year from total production and add to that any unsold product from the traveling conventions.
 
5- There have been some reports of problems with the Vac-Metal On Hurricane Hordak- is this due to manufacturing or like anything in that a few bad pieces make it through? Every figure is hand made so there will always be some discrepancies.
