Ask Matty Questions - 8/31

1) The mini-masters were shown only to gauge interest in the line. Would this be a retail or online offering? Can we see more!!!
We are still reviewing possible execution for the Mini Masters. We know fans like em! To manage expectations, do not expect them any earlier then 2013.

2) It was stated that this year so far the MOTU club is lower then previous- any ideas why? Character selection, economy??
There are many factors that contribute to fans choosing to purchase a subscription but Mattel does not comment publically on this.

3) The Man-E-Faces secret accessory is great!! Could we see others in some kind of future accessory pack?
As long as fans enjoy this type of thing we would love to continue to make some accessories secret in the future!

4) Any idea when we will see updated photos of Dana Barrett from GB?
As soon as we get updated images of Dana, we’ll post them on Matty.  We should have something in the next few weeks.

5) Any chance of a picture of the GB Firehouse diorama with the standard Mattel GB figures and not the action hero scale?
The Stay Puft diorama was meant to act as the diorama for this 6” scale.  We don’t have anything planned yet, as far as a firehouse diorama just yet.

Ask Matty 8/15 Questions and Answers

1) Of the new product reveals at SDCC, what was the team most excited for?
That depends on who you ask! Each team tends to be excited over their items. The 23” Voltron and the new MOTUC 30th anniversary items/mini comics tend to be very popular around here!

2) You commented that Swiftwind will not have any plugs to put in the holes for the wings to make it look more clean. Any chance these could be made and come with a future POP character or in a weapons pack?

Never say never but nothing is planned at this time.

3) Will the Windraider be as limited as the original release of Battlecat when it goes on sale this Fall? If it sells out can vehicles be reissued?
It is always possible we will do a second run but nothing is planned right now. We will have to see how it does the first time before expanding to a second run.

4) The Mini-Masters that were displayed at SDCC- can you give us any plans for these?
There are no plans for these at this time. They were put out purely to gage fan interest for now…

5) The Ghostbusters Vigo is great, but was there ever talk to include a baby Oscar?
Sure there is talk! He would be a great accessory but just not one we could fit in with Vigo at this time.
